Colt showed up to the open arena, today was one of the days that the public could ride around for free and use the facilities.
His black dodge was towing a Sundowner trailer with Cowboy (click) hooked in a slant at the end of the box. He came to a hault by the arena itself along with a coupld of other rigs. He switched the ignition and hopped out of his truck, slamming the door and sticking the keys in his front pocket. He made his way to the back of his trailer and unloaded his gelding. After tying him to a hook on the side of the trailer, he brushed him down and tacked him up.
He led him to the arena and lugged himself onto his horse and stepped into the pen at a slow walk.. ready to warm up. He was thinking if he might catch any company here today.. Or if today would even be as busy as normal...

Taylor Joe had heard that the expo was open for people to ride around for free today and well...Why not go and try it out?
She pulled up in an nice black chevy and it looked alot better than her two horse streight in loader with her mare August in the back rockin back and forth. She came to a stop by all the other rigs and pretty much laughed at herself. Everyone had a good lookin rig, while she has the old beat up trailer with all the rust and paint chipin off. She loved the trailer and couldn't sell it, so she keeps on fixin it up.
She shut the truck off and walked to the back of the trailer and opened the back doors and watched her mare back out and stand there looking around. Taylor joe smiled and walked to the side of the trailer and tired her up and began to brush her down and tacked up. She walked to the side of her truck and grabed her chaps and put them on and her black cowboy hat.
Taylor Joe walked into the arena with her blonde locks falling down beside her with her cowboy hat ontop. Her buckskin mare beside her and ready to ride. August nickered when she saw another horse in the arena. Taylor Joe shut the gate behind her before sitting in the saddle. They where ready for action, but they walked around the arena just to warm up alittle before they started there fun.

Colt saw a petite blonde on a buckskin horse enter the arena as he made his way around. He flashed a gleaming smile to the girl, she was indeed very pretty with that felt hat. He could imagine how she looked without it.
Cowboy whinnied under the saddle at the new horse and Colt tightened the slack on the reins as the horse picked up speed in curiosity. When he finally made his way around, near the girl. The high strung horse was prancing underneath him. Typical roping horse. He sat stern in the saddle and his spurs were firm against the sides of the quarter horse. Finally fed up, he stopped and greeted the girl.
This damn horse, he's so wired and so nosey.. ever had one of those?
He held a heavy grip with the reins, the horse's head was tucked but tossing a little trying to greet the other.

Taylor Joe looked around to see what was going on in the arena and there wasn't a hole lot of people at all. There was only one guy there and he wasa very good looking guy and had a very nice built body to him.
August jumped sideways and pranced alittle, but Taylor Joe checked her in and she quit prancing sideways and walked a little faster when the other horse came up closer and began to prance a little bit to keep up with the gelding. Taylor Joe looked down at august and checked her in one more time and she began to walk once agian.
This damn horse, he's so wired and so nosey.. ever had one of those? Taylor Joe smiled and knew what he was talking about. She had one underneath her.Oh yes I have... She is pretty much the same as yours.
August flicked her ears forward and tired to reach over to smell the other horse beside her. She snorted and tossed her head up and Taylor Joe just shook her head.
Im Taylor Joe and this is August. I see your a roper, im a roper aswell."She slapped the side of her leg where her rope was at.

He laughed, finally when the horses got a sniff - Cowboy got still. He was still a little curious but was rather calm instead of being hasty like he was about 2 seconds ago. He nodded his head in agreement with her - Taylor Joe - as she related to his issue.
I'm Colt, this is Cowboy.. Yeah, I tend to rope off him.
He smiled again, it was nice to have some company. Especially from a pretty little thing as herself. He drew his attention to her rope hanging on her saddle and he pointed back to his truck,
Mine are all back at my truck actually. I think I have any one you could possibly want..
He laughed, he wasn't exaggerating. He had ropes in his living quarters in his trailer, ropes in his tool box in the bed of his truck, ropes in his tack closet at the back of his trailer, and ropes under the back seat in the cab of his truck. Not to mention, more back home.

August stood there and smelled the other horse and pinned hears back and tossed it up. She calmed down and went back to her normal walk.
I'm Colt, this is Cowboy.. Yeah, I tend to rope off him.
She nodded her head and gave him a little sweet smile trying to hide it behind the drim of her felt hat.
August isn't the greatest ropin horse, but we get the job done. We are more in for the speed.
Mine are all back at my truck actually. I think I have any one you could possibly want..
She laughed alittle and looked at him. She didn't have alot of ropes, but she had a couple in her trailer and in her truck aswell in her tool box that had import things for just in case things for her horses. She could aslo tell that he was the guy that had them hanging all over the place.

Colt nodded, he understood her reply. He, himself had a few horses that were a little green to the sport but were quick on their feet.
Yep, It'll just take some time.
He followed alongside Taylor Joe, liking the conversation. Cowboy was calm now that he was forced to work next to the other horse. His head hung low, relaxed at the slow pace.
A breeze swept through as he caught her smile. He grabbed the cap sitting on top of his head as he thoguht he felt it loosen up. The weather was nice aside from the gusts of wind outside the arena that kicked up and found its way inside.

Taylor Joe shook her head. She had to go pick up her new horse she bought the other day, but first she needed to find a place to board them at.
Yeah, It sure does. Im been looking for a place to board my horses and well I was getting tired of lookin so came out to work her out a little bit."
Taylor Joe really like someone to talk to around here. She just got here and Colt was being very nice to her. August was a very content mare now and was just calming walking around the rail beside cowboy. She wanted to go, but she was going to listen to Taylor Joe and walk around.
August heard the dust the wind picked up hit the tin on the side of the barn and she jumped side ways. Taylor Joe was very relaxed in the seat and when she felt August go sideways she got unblanced and came off the side of her and hit the ground. August snorted and felt Taylor Joe not in the saddle and stopped. Taylor Joe stood up and dusted the dirt off her and her hat and looked at August.
You silly horse you spook at everything.
Taylor Joe looked up at Colt and grabed the reins of August and put them around her neck agian and stepped on the saddle once agian and took a seat.

He listened to her talk,
I got a place with a few open stalls actually.. It's not as advertised as Bar-B Ranch, but hey, it's the same quality.
Cowboy flinched at the clanging on the tin and jumped around as August did. Colt watched as Taylor Joe fell, he couldnt react quick enough before she was back on her horse and was acting as if nothing really went wrong. He sighed, relieved she was obviously fine. Geez, girl. Take a fall and act like nothin' happened. He shook his head with a quiet laugh.

Taylor Joe smiled and looked at him. Her blue eyes shined and well she was pretty happy. She actual found a good place and it seemed to be nice if Colt had it. Thanks, I'll bring them by and keep them there.
Taylor Joe laughed and looked at him. She could tell by the look on his face he was amazed how quick she got up on her horse so quick. She wasn't like any other girl that will sit there on the ground and wait. She has a horse to ride and well...you can't ride by sitting on the ground.
Ahh...I have been in worst
She gave him a little grin. She then poked August in the sides with her spurs and August began jogging along the arena.

He smiled when she did, what a pretty smile she had. It was refreshing actually - to have a new face so friendly as hers and be so friendly. He listened and nodded once more,
Sure thing, I'm always there if I'm not here.
He said, finishing off his invitation to his stables. And she spoke again, about the incident. Ha, somehow it doesn't really surprise me - not a bad thing though! He reassured his words, he wasn't trying to insult her... just say she looked like a rather tough chick. She was cool, he was so glad and still almost in shock that somebody could be so friendly in this modern day.

Taylor Joe nooded her head. It was good to have someone to talk to as handsome as he was. She removed her felt hat and looked at it to make sure she got all the dirt off of it while her blonde curly locks flowed behind her. She looked back over to him and her blue eyes shined when she smiled. She was glad to have a friend like him. She put her felt hat back on and looked over to him.
Oh you say I can't ride? She tried to look like she was pissed off, but she couldn't take it and a wide smile came across her face and laughed a little." Its alright, just a joke." She gave him another sweet smile.
August kept in her little jog around the arena. Taylor Joe pressed the spurs closer into the side of her mare and August moved off in a high trot. Taylor kept in beat with the mare and grabed the rope and untied it and made herself a loop. She tucked it underneath her arm and leaned back and the mare came to a stop. Taylor looked toward the railing and pulled alittle bit to the right and the mare turned on her hindends and made herself look like a freakin cuttin horse. Taylor smiled and kept August in a high trot.

He laughed at her, not knowing what to say at her comment. He shook his head and followed alongside her, but as they gained speed.. he kept a bigger distance from her - not knowing what she would do next. When he was far from her, she dug out her rope and drew it under her arm and made her horse move quick and low. He watched - impressed. He pressed his spurred heels against the rib cage of Cowboy and made him break into a strong gallop around the pen as she did her own thing. He looked down and noticed the gelding had finally broke into a sweat.

Taylor Joe smiled and saw him go his own way and she went her own way. She felt August get a little quicker. She just wanted to work with the rope a little to get alittle more rope broke. After a couple mints of trotting around with the rope. Taylor slid her to a stop and drawn her rope up and tied it back to her saddle horn. She was just practicing and really didn't need a calf. She then poked August in the side with her spurs and August came into a nice gallop. As the gallop along the rail, Taylor Joe rocked her hips with august as they where one. She came galloped the mare into the middle of the arena and the sped up a little more and all Taylor Joe was lean back alittle and that mare slid on her hindlegs and dust clouds formed around them. Taylor Joe smiled and the mare stood stilll. Taylor turned the mare on her hind quarters to the left as the galloped on the left lead and then came to walk when she was breathing alittle hard.
While they walked Taylor Joe watched Colt ride his gelding. They gelding moved wonderful under the saddle and well so did Colt. They lookd like they where working as a good team. She smiled and kept august to the outside so they weren't in the way. She kept a smile on her face as she watched them.

Out of the corner of his eye, he watched Taylor work with her horse while he worked with his. He turned and saw how she slid the horse to a stop and slowed his own down a little when she came around the pen like he was doing.
He ran him one more time around the perimeter of the arena and made his way back to the gate where he came to and stopped Cowboy, dismounted and opened the gate.. the horse was finally a little more wet with perspiration and he led the horse outside the arena where there was a better breeze in the open. He didn't latch the gate, but just pulled it to look shut but would open with a bump.
He led his gelding back to the trailer and tied him to the side with a bucket of water. As Cowboy drank, Colt sat on the fender of the trailer and cracked open a beer can and took a drink.
