WITH EVERY BUBBLE SHE SANK WITH A D R I N K
stumbling away from the laughing crowd april sighed and looked around. she was holding her wine glass, the one glass of wine she was allowing herself to have. she hadn't topped it up at all, but she never seemed to get to the end of it. by now she didn't notice though, for she was rather zonked out of her brains. her eyes scanned the lake, the party was perhaps in full swing and the sun had just set, the dim lights flickered on and she grinned stupidly. making her way towards a love nest she'd borrowed she almost fell over, but managed to keep her balance. the liquid in the glass spilt everywhere and she cursed loudly, though no one noticed. hearing noises from the tent she growled in her husky, slurred voice, "out out out! i'm in here." the couple inside realised it was april and quickly shuffled their belongings and behinds out of the tent. grinning to herself she placed the almost empty glass down outside the tent and bent down to crawl inside. once inside she set everything out nicely and noticed someone had left a lighter. none of the candles were lit so she quickly went around lighting them. hearing a noise outside she turned just in time to see someone walk away, but who it was she didn't know. her head spun and she instinctively reached for her wine glass, only to find it was full again. the liquid looked like that of white wine, but she didn't know if it was. knocking it back she placed it down again and carried on fluffing up the pillows. she had no idea why she was doing this, it just felt like she had something to do. she felt strangely proud of herself that she'd stuck to only one drink, though it didn't feel like she'd had only one. smiling to herself happily she turned around and sat cross-legged at the entrance of the love nest, sipping her newly filled wine glass, though she didn't notice how strong the taste was compared to last time.

WILLIAM HAZARDdown here, i cannot see so c l e a r . . . i said what do i know ?
The party thrived as everyone grew comfortable, music and alcohol fueling the strangers that surrounded William Hazard. He stood on the sidelines, merely observing the crowd, seeking a familiar face. He wanted to find April; she was the only person he knew that was here. Sure, he could simply strike up conversation with one of the many people that were at the party. That was always an option. But, for once in his life, he was frightened by the large number of individuals. They all knew each other, and he was just a foreigner to their social knit. His better judgment just told him to wing it. To set out and make a new friend. Yet he recoiled back to the corners of the excitement, waiting patiently to see the lovely brunette somewhere. With a low sigh, Will crossed his arms in front of his chest, tapping his foot to the beat of the song playing. His blue eyes darted around anxiously, just wondering how his night at this little party would be. The hostess would appear soon. She just had to.
Minutes passed, though they seemed to drag onward for an eternity as Will continued to stand alone. But as this time moved along sluggishly, the blonde Englishman heard something. No, someone, to be exact. April's laugh rang out at him, drawing his attention frantically to the direction it'd come from. There she was, tottering away from a group of drunk people. Will gave her a suspicious look from where he stood, though he knew she was unaware of it. The clumsy girl looked far from sober, and just from the looks of it, he could tell that she had blown off that limit she had set for herself. He frowned at the thought. So much for promises. Teeth grinding with worry, the tall man took long strides over to where he'd seen the girl disappear into a tent. A few faces turned to look at him, wondering where the previously motionless man was headed off to in such a hurry. Though he brushed off their glances as he moved with haste across the way. He hoped he was just having misperception of what he saw. Maybe she was just a bit wobbly from dancing? Maybe her buddies had spun her around a bit too much? But hope would only do so much. April was unpredictable. He could never expect anything. He had to keep himself from jumping to conclusions so quickly.
It took him little time to approach April's position within the tent, but it took him a moment to gather himself. He was happy to know that he'd no longer be alone, but he dreaded the thought of having to deal with a drunken girl, even more so if he was going to have to take responsibility of his friend if she had broken her promise. Shaking his head and exhaling softly, Will poked his head inside the tent. "Knock knock," he chimed as his eyes found her face. Immediately, he took note of the glass she was holding, filled with some sort of beverage. But, he chose to ignore it for the moment. "Enjoying your party?" he asked, though he knew the answer was most certainly a yes.

SEE THE SILHOUETTES D A N C I N G UP AGAINST THE WALL
april soon got bored of the liquid inside her glass, it didn't taste very nice and she'd nearly finished it anyway. she was about to throw it into the grass when a familiar voice startled her slightly. she jumped and looked up to see will looking down at her. she grinned stupidly, feeling like a school girl all over again, even though they'd passed the awkward stage...she hoped. she'd been waiting for will to show up, she was craving his company so much she didn't care that he was late. her party was fun, yes, but it wasn't exactly an amazing time when she was dodging between groups, trying to please everyone. she was a little confused at how she'd managed to stick to one glass of wine, she hadn't run out until just now. but she wasn't bothered, it felt like she'd had around ten glasses. of course, this only made her extremely tipsy, but still, one glass couldn't do that could it? she frowned to herself, her thoughts carrying her away from answering will's question before she remembered she needed to reply. she smiled back up at him weakly, "eh, it's alright. bit better now though." she winked and let a rough chuckle slip through her lips, though it was only half hearted. her features fell slightly as she thought back to her promise and how she thought she'd broken it. but she couldn't understand how, she'd not touched another glass and it wasn't like she'd filled it up. she was proud of herself, considering the amount of temptation there was. she grinned again, her hazel eyes locking onto the blue ones belonging to will, and tapped the glass that was held in her left hand, almost empty, "i've even stuck to my limit," she slurred slightly, "i kept my promise." she smiled and placed the glass down on the grass, her head swimming a little. her conscience went out the window and she leaned forward, grabbed one of will's hands and planted a kiss slightly to the left of his lips. suddenly, as if she realised what she'd done, she froze, her hand tensing over will's. oops.
SURE FEELS GOOD, YEAH WE'RE GUNNA L O S E CONTROL

WILLIAM HAZARDdown here, i cannot sleep from f e a r, no . . . i said which way do i t u r n ?
Will continued to observe April, his posture a bit tensed as he looked over her suspiciously. Surely one glass would never get anybody looking that way. Though he wasn't a drinker himself, he'd been around alcohol enough to know that one little glass couldn't do that much. He was worried for the girl. From what he could see, she'd most definitely broken her promise. And if she couldn't keep a promise to him, who would she keep it to? Will held back a frown, plastering on a smile in an attempt to stay calm with April. Though, he felt his smile strengthen a bit more sincerely as she spoke. She had already proved that she was something special to him, as she easily made him feel like some lovestruck teenager. But, he had to keep a bit of his concern mixed in with everything else he felt for her, possibly even a bit of anger. She'd never learn if he didn't do something. Will didn't bother believing her words as she boasted of her promise being kept. That didn't look very possible now.
The blonde man released a nervous sigh. He was wondering what he should say to bring up her state, just how he could go about doing such a thing. But before he could even begin his reasoning, something warm clutched onto one of his hands, and before he new it, lips were pressed to his face, missing his own by a hair. He was slightly stunned by the sudden appearance of April right under his nose. Literally. His face reddened, the heat in his cheeks apparent. Oh God, now what was he supposed to do? Though he felt a bit invaded and personally caught off guard by the girl's spontaneity, Will couldn't help but think that he liked April's affection. He almost forgot that small amount of frustration he was keeping for the drunken girl. But oh, did the smell of alcohol on her breath bring that roaring back to his mind. The brunette quickly leaned back down from him, her grip on his hands stiffening tightly as she seemed a bit taken aback by what she'd done. He wasn't mad at her for that though. There was something else upsetting him now. "April..." he muttered quietly, his deep, English voice serious, "Just how much have you drank tonight?"
