SpikeThe one year old albino mustang colt trotted around in the forest until he came to the fence. He halted and looked around. He was thin for a little colt. Of course his dam was missing. He didn't know where she was. But, he was looking for a new place to stay for a while. He sniffed the fence and rubbed his left side on it. He snorted and nickered. He was sad. He knew now for a fact that his mother was no where to be found. He was a sick little colt too. He just wanted to find somewhere he could stay for a while. Mainly he was scared because of the thunder storm a week ago. That's why he was thin.

Elizabeth Journey(Click) was walking back to her truck right after riding her mare, but something caught her eye. She saw something white out in the pasture, but she just thought maybe she was seeing things. Elizabeth kept on walking to her truck until she heard the nicker. She knew she wasn't seeing anything. She ran down toward the pastures until she saw a sick little colt standing there by the fence. Elizabeth's heart almost went broken when she saw him standing there without his mother. She climbed the fence and was standing there with the colt, but was a couple feet away. Where's your mother at? Liz was heart broken and wanted to help this little colt all she could. She didn't have anything to lead him with, but she started to think a little. She sat down in the grass so she wouldn't threatin the little colt and wait until he came up to her. She would wait all day, but would peek to see if he would get closer.

The little albino colt looked up. He backed up slightly. But, suddenly knew he needed help. He lowered his head slightly. Hearing her ask where his mother was his ears went to the side. He knew where his mother was. He had watched her mother die in a small fire. He snorted sadly. His eyes were sad. He slowly walked over to her and breathed in. He caught her scent and knew that maybe she could help him.

Elizabeth smiled at the colt and stood still. She looked at the colt and as he walked toward her. She saw the sadness in his eyes and she almost started to cry. She sat down in the grass and looked at the albino colt." Its ok baby, I'll take care of you sweetie" She watch as he stood beside her and put his hand up to his nose." I will never let anything happen to you." She didn't know what to name him, but his mane was really spikey, so she came up with the nameSpike. She sat there in the grass with her new colt Spike.

Spike snorted slightly. He looked to her. He moved and nipped at her shirt slightly. He wasn't nervous anymore. He watched her and lowered his head. He nudged her slightly. He felt a little happier now. But, he still had sadness in his eyes. He was missing his dam too much. He slowly but finally laid down on his legs.

Elizabeth looked at spike and watched him a little bit. She knew he was probley hungry, but she didn't have what he needed. She would have to go buy some. She looked at him and then started to think a little bit. Once he laid down she started to rubb the colts neck and forehead. She loved just laying here beside him.

He snorted and stayed next to her. He was actually liking the feel of her rubbing his neck and forehead. He snorted again and shut his eyes. He hoped maybe he'd be able to find his mother again. He really did hope so. He opened his eyes and looked to her. He nickered softly and put his muzzle to the ground. His ears staying to the sides. He wanted his dam.
