drumming her fingers slowly on the bar counter april sighed dramatically. she was getting bored, seeing as it was early in the afternoon and the general lunchtime was over. she was due to have hers in fifteen minutes, but her back up hadn't arrived yet and probably wouldnt for another hour. sighing she looked at the clock, her eyes flickering to it every now and then, as the seconds ticked by slowly. each second felt like a minute, each minute feeling like an hour. time slowed down completely as she urged the hands to move faster. but still the clock moved at its slow, steady pace as she glared at it.
after a few minutes the brunette sighed once more and stood up straight, grabbing a cloth as she did so. running it over the suface of the bar she quickly mopped up a few drops from peoples drinks they'd finished earlier. glancing over at the dance floor she groaned inwardly, the music that was playing was truly awful and there was an old couple dancing together arm in arm. sights like that made april want to gag. turning away from the scene in one brisk twirl she popped the cloth under the counter and started piling up a few of the dirty beer glasses. after stacking them up she moved over to the bar again and began drumming her fingers of the counter once again, staring at the clock once more. it had only taken three minutes to do all that. great. open for whoever (:

WILLIAM HAZARDcold, cold water bring me r o u n d . . . now my feet won't touch the g r o u n d . . .
The rhythm of the speakers was all brushed off as mere background noise to William Hazard, his thoughts grumbling and clicking far louder than any of the sounds around him. He seemed quite casual in his surroundings on this lazy afternoon. Sitting thoughtfully at a table close to the bar, observing a slim section of the newspaper with strained interest. Dressed in a pale blue shirt, long sleeves pushed up to his elbows and his dark jeans clinging to his skin comfortably, he didn't appear to be nearly as stressed as he truly was. Stressed? Will? Oh yes, the idea would've sounded absurd to the young man a few months prior to this day, yet those times had passed. He was now a mere struggling citizen of his new town, socially void to his new community. It was an odd feeling, being so vacant from the familiar warmth of company. He was an outgoing individual, and it seemed so unnatural for him to be so stranded from any new friends. But, he was too unsatisfied with himself to focus on finding a few mates to joke around with. Ah, no. He had more things to wrap his mind around; the fact that he was in dire need of a job if he were ever going to support his lacking American life. He'd come to this nation to explore new opportunities. But, how distant those opportunities seemed when he could hardly even get by with the small feed of money from his family back in the UK. He closed his eyes in memory to his old parents, their smiling faces over-riding his anxious woes. He grinned to himself as he could practically hear their hopeful voices ringing clearly in his ears. They had faith in him. They would provide him the strength he needed while he adjusted to his new life. True, it would take time. Yet he had to keep an optimistic vibe in his heart and a spring in his step. He couldn't be conquered by a simple life struggle. He would tame his worries swiftly. He was sure of it.
Slowly, Will leaned back in his chair, stretching his skinny arms over his head as his mouth opened in a quiet yawn. He folded up the small chuck of his paper, the want ads displayed suddenly disappearing into his pocket. The pages lacking options bored him, all the available jobs requiring some sort of previous talent, none of which William possessed. He would continue hunting, but for now, he would at least enjoy the busy atmosphere of the music hall while he was here. Swiftly, he stood up from his seat at the table, making his way over to the bar with long strides. Though, he did not drink. This was an old habit, his beliefs rooted from those of parents. They rarely even sipped a glass of wine, and the world of beer and fruity cocktails was all too distant from them. But, Will was content without alcohol, and it made little sense as to why he was roaming over to the bar. Perhaps he'd order a virgin drink? Or perhaps he was merely dropping by the area to investigate the people surrounding it. Surely he didn't desire to get involved with any drunks, but he knew it was early and activity here was dwindling. Lunchtime was gone, and most of the crowd had left. But he was just curious, and frankly, craving some sort of human presence other than a brief chat with some stranger. He was looking for companions. And as he approached the bar, he noticed a young lady behind the bar. Apparently a bartender, seeing as she was running over the bar with a wet cloth to clean it up. Will glanced her over with wonder, immediately asking multiple questions to himself. What's she like?
"Ello miss." His voice was deep, a strong English accent swinging in his words. "Enjoying this supremely exciting place?" he questioned in a sarcastic tone, a toothy smile on his face as he stopped in front of the bar, propping his elbows against the counter. He perched himself slightly to the woman's right, keeping his attitude relaxed and friendly. He was desperate for a friend. Maybe this lass could make one for him... or, maybe not?
-- Quiet longer than I desired, but my muse was rolling a bit x)

MIDAS IS KING AND HE H O L D S ME SO TIGHT staring at the clock she blinked occasionally, counting the seconds to how long she could stare at the hands for. the longest she got to was 15 seconds, which she was pretty proud of considering she was usually batting her eyelashes at any good looking guy who walked passed. getting bored of her little game she focused on the time again...sighing once more as she realised it'd only been another five minutes. glancing at the door she was desperate for her change over to walk through it, but all that come through was an old drunk with his beer bottle. gritting her teeth she plastered a smile as he made his way towards the bar...ew. looking at her he grinned a toothless smile and averted his direction to a table. april breathed out slowly and thanked god. she really wasn't in the mood to deal with anything other that a fit guy right now, she was dying for her lunch break!
settling her chin on her palm as she rested her elbow on the counter she swept her eyes over the dance hall, the same old song was playing over and over again, the old couple still dancing. wouldn't they give it a rest?! her eyes swept back to the tables where she spotted a slightly older man sitting by himself. april smile to herself as he stretched and yawned, but she quickly flicked her eyes away when he began to stand up. she let them rest on the clock once again, though she occasionally let her eyes avert to the figure that was moving towards the counter. she couldn't resist not looking at him for much longer so she turned slowly to face him. he settled himself in front of her and she shifted to stand up straight in front of him. she opened her mouth to ask what he wanted to order but he spoke first.
she grinned as his english accent was strong in his words, her lashes now in their fluttering motion. so much for staring. she ran her eyes over him quickly, he was tall and slightly lanky, but he still looked good. he'd got blond hair and a pair of gorgeous blue eyes. finding her voice she smiled at him, her vocals the usual husky yet sexy ones, "why hey there gorgeous." she winked at him, still smiling. shifting her weight to face him properly she glanced around then looked back at him, replying to his last comment, "i'm having oodles of fun, honest." grinning she leaned forward on the counter, resting both her elbows on it. she looked up at him slightly with her big puppy eyes, her tongue rolling over her top set of perfectly white teeth. again she opened her mouth, her husky, seductive lyrics floating into the air, "i haven't seen you around here before, you new in town?" she smiled, if he was he'd obviously be looking for friends. and april was up for that. a few seconds ticked by and she suddenly realised what she was doing. she shot up to stand upright and rushed out her next set of words, "oh sorry! do you want anything? water? juice? beer?" and once more she fluttered her eyelashes.

WILLIAM HAZARDcold, cold water, what'd you s a y . . . it's such a perfect d a y . . .
Will tapped his fingers swiftly against the counter of the bar, absorbed in his own beat as he shifted a bit, trying to blend into the scene as comfortably as possible. He was out of practice when working with people, his first few weeks in the US being too hectic to bother with pretty girls like this one. And the mere adjustment of face-to-face conversation was enough to make him jittery. The feeling of anxiousness lurched in his stomach as the lass parted her lips, her voice floating into the air around him. He latched onto her words for a moment before letting them drift along through his ears, watching her wink at him in a harmless way and tossing around flattering terms. He grinned as she continued on. She seemed a bit bored at first, but now as William had arrived before her, the young lady had sprung into a flirtatious life. She beamed at him with a line of straight teeth, which brought an envious flicker to his pleasant mood as the thought of his gaped teeth overcame him. Though he didn't dwell on that fact. The lass was going to speak again.
"Ah, you caught me," he mused with a grin, good humor ringing off his tongue. He shook his head to himself, knowing he must've stuck out around here with an accent like his own and an unfamiliar face. He mother had given him a grand warning about how tightly knit a majority of the town had grown, and he was sure to become an oddball. It hadn't even taken this particular miss a few moments to question his origin. But, it didn't irk him. It was better to get it out of the way. "I'm most definitely new. Just moved over here from England... Ah, two weeks ago?" he continued, not exactly bothering to count the days from his arrival.
Will glanced up, his new companion's eyes were drifted outward, as if she had something else on her mind. She then jumped to attention, quickly stammering out an apology. "Oh sorry! Do you want anything? Water? Juice? Beer?" Quick to remember she was on the job, and Will could've been only interested in a drink. He simply smiles in return. "Water would be fine." He'd bared no intention in buying anything when he'd approached her, but now that he considered it, something to quench his thirst would've been nice. Water was cheap for a poor guy like himself, and that's really all he was interested in. "I suppose everyone notices when a strange face shows up, huh?" he asks, gazing up questionably at the brunette. But, he didn't wait for his answer. He had yet another thing to ask. "So." Begin simple. "Tell this strange face your name?"

MIDAS IS KING AND HE H O L D S ME SO TIGHT her smile widened as april's eyes flickered to the door to see her cover walking through it. she jumped up from where she'd been leaning on the counter again and glanced at the cute guy sitting before her, "excuse me for a second would ya?" she almost sprinted to the door to meet the blond bimbo who was taking her place, cringing as she saw how unattractive she was. glaring daggers at her through her hazel eyes she growled her words out, "i see you took your time getting here then, gemma. just get behind the bar, i need my lunch break." swiftly turning on her heels she popped back behind the bar to grab her things. reaching her the counter she removed her apron and quickly grabbed her bag. popping up in front of the guy again she smiled as her breathing slowed, she'd just realised she'd been rushing around the place. once she'd finished his order she'd pop on the seat next to him, if he let her.
grinning at his joking words april flicked her eyes over his face again before replying, "you've been here two weeks?!" she said with mock surprise. a soft laugh escaped her lips before she carried on, "so why haven't i seen you around here then? i mean, 2 weeks is an age!" to her it was. so much could've happened in two weeks it would've felt more like 2 months. she smiled softly, if this guy had decided to introduce himself to her earlier, he'd know practically all the best people to know in town. of course, april herself had only been here a month or so, but she had quickly wound her way into the knitted group of people here, some of them she found she already knew, and others whom she'd known and lost contact with. of course there were new people, but to her everyone felt like she'd known them for years. when he replied to her question about something to drink she raised her eyebrows and widened her eyes slightly. water? when there was so many other, gorgeous choices to pick from. no, april wasn't having that. she figured he wasn't up for drinking in mid afternoon, so she wouldn't press the matter further. twirling away from him after a quick smile she flitted her hands around the bar until she found what she was looking for. she poured out the exotic fruit juice into two tall glasses, topped them off with a bit of decoration and turned to place them on the counter. sliding her card through the cashier she quickly paid for them and smiled at the man, "you don't drink water when you're around me honey. they're on me." before he could protest or anything she grinned, "don't worry, there's no alcohol in them." winking she grabbed up her stuff and quickly hopped over the bar a little way down the counter. she was petite and her movements were graceful for once. she smiled at herself for being so together for once in her life. grinning she plonked herself down on the bar stool next to him and quickly tipped a little bit of vodka in her drink she'd got in her bag, then dripped some in his. only a little, to give it a bit of a punch. she winked, "drink it big boy, it's not gonna kill ya." she stared at him with her large hazel eyes, waiting for him to drink it.
he'd spoken to her twice, the first time not letting her get any words in. shaking her head she replied to his first set of words, "naah, the guys are just jealous and us girls all want a piece of the new guy." she winked, running her eyes up and down his frame now she could see it all, "after all, the latest addition to this town is rather gorgeous." she grinned and took a sip from her drink, letting its tangy taste scrunch up her face for a second before she took another gulp. then replied to his question, "i'm known around here as april. april james. though call me what you want, i'll reply to practically anything." giggling to herself she set the glass on the table and licked her lips. turning back to face him she smiled softly, "and what might the gorgeous new boy be called" she winked, teasing tones in her voice.

WILLIAM HAZARDnow the sky, could be blue, it don't m i n d . . . without you it'd be a waste of t i m e . . .
"Alright," Will replied, his eyes observing her as the brunette approached a woman practically opposite to herself: far less attractive and absolutely all over the place. He couldn't help but feel satisfied in the fact that he'd been lucky enough to find such a pretty girl right off the bat. But, he tried to keep himself from considering such a thing. He could tell there was something about his new friend that would fish trouble up for himself; something that would easily make him regret this meeting later on. Yet as for now, he pushed that squawking worry out of his thoughts, deciding to just live for the moment and see where things went. Just the idea that he'd found someone to talk to gave him enough reason to forget his troubles. He simply waited by on the dark-haired lass to return after what appeared to be a shift change.
She removed her apron, grabbed her purse, and quickly stopped in front of him to say something. Two weeks without ever seeing his face seemed to be a shock to her, though he didn't find it all that surprising. He had lived in London for 26 years. Someone new could've gone an entire lifetime without him spotting them. But then again, this town was much smaller than his huge city. It was a place of nearly eight million inhabitants, and this place couldn't compare in numbers nor size. So, he merely dismissed the matter with a slow nod. "I've been a bit caught up since I've gotten here, really neglected off my social life while I've settled in. Geting in legal order, unpacking, job hunting, there's a lot to be done after just up and switching countries," he explained quietly, a bit of his previous stress reviving. And as he spent his moments staring out into space, he hardly realized what his spunky companion was preparing him. He caught himself just as she slid the tall, frilly drinks in front of him. One for her, one for him. She gave him a grin. "You don't drink water when you're around me, honey." The rest hardly skimmed over him, and he hardly took the time to hear her say that there wasn't any alcohol in them.
He stood silent as the girl trotted out back around the bar after paying for the drinks, making herself comfortable on the barstool beside him. Naturally, he pulled himself into a stool, just then noticing the fact that he was still on his feet. And as he did so, his gaze fell upon what the girl was placing in his drinking, the label distinct to his scrutiny even if he rarely came into contact with such things. Vodka. He grimaced to himself, quickly glancing up to the young lady in a panicky way. But, he immediately tried to draw up his cool, knowing it wasn't at all a big deal. He merely grins at her, eyes closed, as the girl speaks to him. "Thank you, miss." He knew that tingle of suspicion he'd felt when he'd spoken to her was going to prove some to him. And it looks like it just had. But, there was something haunting him like never before. The thought that this girl would feel like he was lacking just due to the fact that he refused her offer. Surely she wouldn't be that shallow? Yet the idea still gnawing at him, drawing a brand new worry to his cramped mind.
"Aha, I'm far from gorgeous, dear," he remarks, a slight laugh in his voice as he shakes his head, all before lifting his attention back to the face beside him. "April, hm?" Will repeats before continuing, "I'm William Hazard, but I go by will." He pauses, giving his untouched beverage a final look before drawing his line. "And I don't drink. Period."
-- Dear Lord, this is the last person Will needs to get involved with xDD This post seriously lacks flow :c my apologies.

MIDAS IS KING AND HE H O L D S ME SO TIGHT april nodded a little at his reply to her comment about not seeing him, her eyes watching him closely. she was sure she'd totally put him off her, but she couldn't really tell. she was never very good at reading peoples emotions, she still isn't now. a weak smile played on her lips as she absentmindedly twirled a lock of her long, wavy brown hair around her petite fingers. she looked away at the counter, murmuring her reply, "mmm, i guess so." after a few seconds her eyes flickered to his face, realising there was an emotion on there that wasn't a good one. but what was it? anger...no. sadness...no not that. scared? no. panic, that was the one. what was he getting panicked about? glancing at the drink she noticed it was untouched...ah. she smiled gently and sat upright again, she'd unconsciously leaned on the table resting on her elbow. before she could open her mouth to speak to him about it he spoke again and she grinned softly. shaking her head she spoke quietly, "now you know i wont agree to that comment." she stared a little too much as he spoke her name, though she regained herself as he spoke his name. she smiled once again, "nice to meet you will." as he spoke once more he had her attention. she glanced at his glass, then hers, then at her hands in her lap. regaining her composure she looked back up and smiled weakly, "good on you, i wish i didn't." turning to the counter she quickly pushed away her drink and averted her eyes back to her lap as she turned back around on the stool. not really sure what to say now she waited a few seconds, before looking up into his blue eyes again. she stammered a little, for once in her life she was lost for words. she gave up trying to make conversation and looked in her lap again before she mumbled, "you don't have to drink it."

WILLIAM HAZARDnow the sky, could be blue, could be g r e y . . . without you i just slide a w a y . . .
Will rested his chin in his palm as he watched April's movements with care, noticing small things that made him feel nervous again. She appeared a tad distressed as a soft smile played along her lips. His eyes dropped along with hers, some sort of awkward tension straining in the air. Had he done something? He nervously glanced back up at April as she quickly made a response. The typical path of a first meeting, a nice to meet you. Will smiled lightly as she did, though he could tell that his was just as forced as hers. Her eyes darted back and forth, all before falling to her hands where they were folded in her lap. He felt his own blue gaze follow them, wondering what was passing through her mind.
"Good on you, I wish I didn't." He bit his lip, shifting his attention to something behind the bar, trying to find anything to replace the odd feeling that grasped the air with an iron fist. He watched her out of the corner of his eye as she pushed her drink a few inches away from her, as if she felt alienated being the only one drinking. Will took a slow breath as she looked up at him, causing him to turn his head and return her stare. The momentary lock of eyes fell as she tilted her head back toward her lap, leaving Will to watch her face with uneasy patience. "I'm sorry," he replied unconsciously, squirming in his seat, "I should've told you that." He gave a jittery glance at the dance floor nearby, all before speaking again. "I'm sure I sound stupid right now... I've been so out of whack lately. I don't even know what to bloody say," he mused with a light laugh, his straightened expression quickly blooming into a grinning face. He shook his head, sighing quietly at himself. "Like I said, I'm really sorry. I'm just..." he pauses, "A bit unused to being out and about." He prayed she'd understand.

MIDAS IS KING AND HE H O L D S ME SO TIGHT still not sure what to do april left her eyes to wander over her hands as they lay in her lap. her fingers locked with those of the other hand and she suddenly found it fascinating, probably to take her mind of the fact she'd realised how much she hated drinking. plus how she looked like an idiot in front of william. after a few seconds of staring at her hands she couldn't help glancing at the englishman, peeking up with her large hazel eyes though her long locks of hair that had fallen forward in her face. she noticed how he was watching her patiently, but embaressed she quickly flickered her eyes back to her lap. as he said sorry april smiled a little and looked up at him again, this time straightening up her head so they were face to face again. no point hiding now. a soft smile played on her face as she listened to him quietly, waiting him to finish whatever he had to say to her. no one ever apologised to her normally, so she wasn't all too sure what to think of it. she wasn't worth apologies usually. the fact will was so nice to her made her smile brighten a little more. shaking her head as he finished she spoke, her voice a hoarse from being so silent, "don't be sorry, i should of asked you first. i'm the one who should be saying sorry." april grinned a little and absentmindedly reached her hand out to hold one of his, "you don't sound stupid at all," she cooed softly, her voice gentle and lacking its usual seductive tone. she stared intently into will's blue eyes for a moment or two, before she suddenly realised what she was doing. jerking her hand away from his she turned toward the counter, angling her body away from him. her hair fell over her face again as her eyes darted back to her lap. "i'm...er...sorry about that." shit, she cursed in her head.

WILLIAM HAZARDpeople moving, all the t i m e . . . inside a perfectly straight l i n e . . .
Running his long fingers over his face, Will continued to sit by, watching April quietly as he did so. She hadn't seemed like the type of girl to act so awkwardly upon first glance, nor first impression. But, he supposed he couldn't judge a book by its cover, no matter how cheesy the old saying sounded to him now. She stationed herself speechless for a moment, hazel eyes focused her lap, occasionally glancing up to meet his stare. His own eyes trailed away from her direction after a moment, the corners of his mouth flinching between a smile and a frown. He felt odd waiting in the momentary silence, desperate to find something else to talk about in the spoils of his mind. But, the sound of April's voice ripped him back from distraction, his head quickly turning to give the girl his full attention. She spoke of her remorse, her delicate hand finding his own. "You don't sound stupid at all." He returns her tender smile, not bothering to part his grip from hers just yet. How peculiar the conversation had grown, taking on a path he hadn't imagined of. But as he sat in a brief serenity, gazing out into space, April's hand jerked away. Will gave her a curious glance, finding her face flustered with embarrassment in the split second he had access to it, as she quickly made haste in turning away from him. She mumbled an apology to him, which drew his to lean closer to her backside. Will grins lightly, placing his touch on her shoulder as if to encourage her to face him. "Don't be sorry," he insisted, echoing her previous words, "It's fine. Honestly." Will pauses, trying to think of anything to draw back some spirit to the air, but nothing comes to him. He merely sits dumbly beside his friend, leg tapping nervously against his stool. He removes his hand from April's shoulder, waiting for any sort of reaction from her.

THERE'S A D R U M M I N G NOISE INSIDE MY HEAD feeling a hand on her shoulder april tensed a little, not sure how to react to the contact. where will touched her the skin felt alive, the fire burning through her shirt and onto her lightly tanned shoulder. the fire burned wildly where his hand lay, april not sure what this meant or what she was to do. it felt wonderful, having his hand there, but at the same time she felt uneasy and confused. her mind was going crazy trying to sort all the emotions out, so she closed her eyes and waited silently. the sound of will's voice echos into her delicate ears, a sweet melody to her mind, soothing out the chaos but causing her emotions to go wild. however april didn't mind and let emotion overwhelm her, emotions she hardly ever felt. as the hand withdrew from her shoulder the skin smouldered and simmered to it's usual self, ever vibe in her body calling it back to touch it. but as much as she wished, nothing happened and silence took place.
after a few minutes of nothingness april took a deep breath and sat upright. she smoothed down her wavy brown hair and ran a finger under each eye. no, she hadn't been crying. she blinked a few times then turned to face william again. her petite, delicate hands once again rested in her lap as she fliddled her thumbs. she wasn't really sure what to say again, her eyes flickering to her hands, then to will, then back to her hands. once she knew what she wanted to say, she wasn't sure if she could. her lips parted as she tried to speak, her voice slightly huskier than usual, "it's just...i'm just...i don't know..." her voice trailed off as she looked deeply into his blue eyes, still not able to speak her mind. she was afraid, to be honest. she didn't know how he'd react, if he'd laugh or just be totally freaked out by what she felt. her eyes dropped to her lap again and she mumbled, not sure if will could hear or not, "basically, i think i like you."

WILLIAM HAZARDi was lost, i was l o s t . . . crossed lines i shouldn't have c r o s s e d . . .
Will waited. And waited. Seconds stretched out like centuries, ripping at his senses and spinning them up in a vortex. There was a new tingling that ate him up, its presence growing more consistent as this day had progressed. Worry. Oh, he despised that feeling. He was deeply paranoid at the fact that he was the cause of April's voided state. And the mere thought drew a frantic flutter to his stomach as he clutched his knee stressfully. Certainly he hadn't done anything? Or had he? Was she mad at him? Or maybe she was simply just mad? He was put at an unease as he remained sitting in the silence, not finding enough inspiration, nor courage, to say more. He quickly surveyed April's feminine figure, searching for any sign of recovery from her sudden melt down. Not a motion stirred through her. There was nothing. Skittishly, he lifted one of his hand back up, the one on his knee unmoving, resting his elbow against the bar as he allowed his fingers to caress his own face. Heavens, what was wrong?
After a few more moments of total stillness, William felt compelled to say something; anything! But as he attempted to speak, April moved, drawing him back into the silence. She flattened out her dark locks, shifting wordlessly to herself. Will held his breath in hope that she would be turning back to him. And his wishes were heard. The brunette adjusted back to his direction, causing a smile to consume his face. He focused intently on her words, shutting out his environment for one moment to catch every one of her uneasy words. She looked up at him for a moment as she stopped, hazel and blue joining before separating once more, though Will kept his attention firmly locked on his friend. She said something quietly, beneath her breath. He wasn't quite sure he was intended to hear it, but he still tried to decode the barely understood mumbles. "... I think I like you."
Such a phrase caught William off guard, pulling his thoughts to a brief stop. He was wondering desperately about he was meant to take that. But instead of merely rotting away in his mind, he quickly spoke up. "I would hope you like me. Or else I wouldn't see much sense in my being here..." he replied with a kind grin, the grip he held onto his knee suddenly relaxed as he removed it from its spot. And slowly, as if not to startle the unnaturally shy flower that had bloomed before him, he took her hand in his. A gesture ideal to comfort April in her tense state. "It's okay. You don't have to fret over that," he pressed on, taking a steady breath, "Because I think I like you too."
-- Oh, their crush on one another is so cute <3 Will sounds retarded though xD

AS I MOVE MY FEET TOWARDS Y O U R BODY she grimaced into her lap as will was quick to react to her mumblings. dammit. she listened to him carefully, all of her attention locked onto his sweet, english voice. who would've ever thought that april james would fall for an english boy like william hazard. the thought made her smile a little and she continued to focus on will. her body bounced slightly as she laughed a little at his words, the smile widening a little on her lips. the tension in her body relaxed a little at how he was taking the news, seeing as he'd obviously heard her. but she doubted he felt the same way, no one ever loved her back. with april it was either one night stands or a week long relationship that fails because neither of them love each other. she'd never really experienced a crush, not a proper one like this. butterflies danced in her stomach as she waited patiently. something touched her petite hand and she glanced at it quickly, realising the large hand engulfing hers was in fact will's. she tensed for a second or two, before relaxing once more and felt finally at ease. listening carefully to will she stared at her small hand in his, amazed at what was coming from his lips. her hand burned from the fire between the two hands, her skin ablaze and emotions running wild in her body. her mind went crazy when will spoke what she was desperate to hear, but what she had feared would never pass his lips. her hazel eyes lit with joy as she turned quickly to face him, her hand grasping his tighter as she grinned up at him.
"i wasn't fretting," she claimed as her lips turned into a small pout. though she couldn't hold it for very long as she couldn't help grinning, her laughter rang through the air like chimes as she bounced again. as she settled down her grin widened, her cheeks flushing darker as she realised how over excited she had become. one more the odd shyness took over and her eyes fell back to her lap where her hand lay encased by will's. a smile still played on her lips as she spoke softly, "i don't think it anymore, i know it." she glanced back up into his blue eyes, her cheeks turning darker once more. but now the usual april had come out from hiding and she was feeling a lot braver than she was before. shifted so she was perched on the edge of the stool she sat upright, her hair falling away from her face as she looked deep into the blue pools before her. her heart banged inside her chest, hammering against the ribs as april's face drew closer and closer to will's. the butterflies inside her stomach fluttered about furiously, an almost sick feeling catching in her throat. without thinking her free hand flew to will's face, the palm of it immediately alight with the burning passion that flowed through her whole body. soon her face was inches away from his, but this was where she stopped. she had no more courage left so she froze in place, her hand caressing william's cheek slowly. she breathed out slowly, a whisper on her breath, "forgive me."

WILLIAM HAZARDi was lost, i was l o s t . . . crossed lines i shouldn't have c r o s s e d . . .
The blonde man stayed put in his position, eyes watching April as she gazed at their joined hands. What was going on in that pretty little head of hers? He wondered, his curiosity chewing at him ravenously as he couldn't help but stare at the dark-haired girl. Where had all this come from? He hadn't expected such strange things to come out of their chat. Certainly this girl didn't develop such strong feelings so quickly. She had seemed too flirty and spunky before, it felt practically impossible for such emotions to be processed and addressed in the short amount of time. And as the idea settled, the more insane the thought grew to Will. She had seemed serious, but how much regard should he take of it? He gave an inward sigh to himself. He simply didn't know her well enough. They'd just met! His feelings for others didn't just pop up over the course of a few minutes. He had taught himself against that. And as this reasoning began to settle, a foreign guilt consumed him as he sat watching April. What if she meant it? And what if he really didn't feel quite the same way?
April's lightly strengthened grip on his hand reminded him of where he was and what he was doing, quickly bringing the Brit back down to Earth. He glanced up to the brunette as she spoke, watching her face rip from a half-hearted pout to a good-humored laugh. William felt himself laugh along with her, the urge to do so coming naturally. April was alive again, obviously happy, and that was enough to bring joy to himself. Their laughter ceased after a moment, and Will noticed how red his companions face was. "I don't just think anymore, I know it." There it was. That sincere assurance on April's part. And as if by clockwork, along followed his guilt. He questioned his own honesty, nervously swallowing as he could hardly bring himself to return the brief look that April was giving him. But just as she did so, she began to creep closer to him. His entire body clenched as his heart dropped in his chest in surprise. Her face approached his own, the hand that wasn't still connected with his finding its way to his cheek. Something didn't feel right. He could sense what was coming, but half of him didn't want it. He was still so unsure, so unprepared. Yet he sat frozen, merely staring at the lovely face that was nearing him. It was all too soon for him. But suddenly, just as he began to debate what he was going to do, April seemed to answer his question. She stopped, and William relaxed. "Forgive me," was all he heard her breathe.
"I-It's..." He paused before finishing, his mind halting before he could finish a simple 'it's okay'. Was it really? In truth, he didn't know. He inhaled, his intake shaky in the slightest. "I... I don't know if I'm ready for this just yet. I... I just... don't know," he murmured awkwardly, his English voice weak as he looked away from April, "I'm sorry."
-- Blah. Yucky yuuuuck. Will is a weenie and being kinda retarded xD Excuse him.

NOW IF SHE TOUCHES LIKE T H I S april stared intently into his blue eyes, waiting for him to say something, to do something. she couldn't sit like this forever. and then, he spoke. but in a way april wasn't expecting. staring at him with wide eyes she listened to his stumbling words, a look of shock passing over her pretty face. as he turned away from her she sat back onto the stool slowly, her own hazel eyes staring into space for a few seconds. the look of shock on her face quickly turned to hurt as she let her eyes fall back to her lap like before. she couldn't believe it. she'd never in her life been rejected, so she was going to take this bad. she'd put her heart on the line, she'd embaressed herself enough and these feelings were totally new to her. and now, she was humiliated. the hurt was plain on her face as she glanced past will to look at the clock, grabbing her bag she hopped off the stool slowly, swinging it over her shoulder when she was down. stalking past the man she muttered, "my lunch is over."
she'd actually got twenty minutes left, but she wasn't really in the mood to sit around, let alone have anything to eat. she moved swiftly around the counter and stalked down the isle to where the two tall glasses still stood. plonking her bag back down on the counter she rooted through it and produced the bottle of vodka again. avoiding will's face she turned to pour it down a small sink, standing slightly to the side so that will could see what she was doing. dropping it in the sink she turned on her heels and quickly picked up the two glasses and placed them on the side by the sink. she poured the first down the plug hole, then the second. moving to the kitchen she grabbed them, but only one stayed in her hands. one of the glasses slipped through her grip and plummeted to the floor. smash. "fucks sake!" april cursed loudly as she bent down over the mess. glancing up she noticed gemma, the spare bartender, rushing over with a dustpan and brush. a weak smile lifted to her face as she thanked the blond and stepped over the clear shards of glass. as gemma cleaned up the glass, april made her way to the kitchen and plonked the other glass on the side. slowly making her way to where she'd left her bag she smiled as gemma walked past after cleaning up the mess. grabbing the bag that was in front of will she blushed violently, cursing under her breathe for reacting to his presence. shoving it under the counter she took a deep breath, then popped back up again.
looking down the counter she noticed a guy sitting a few bar stools down from will. breathing in slowly she closed her eyes, before breathing out and snapping them open. she ran a hand through her hair before plastering on a fake, gorgeous grin and making her way to where he was sitting. leaning over the counter she let her top fall a little, showing off her goods. battering her lashes she grinned at the man, who to be fair wasnt bad looking, and she spoke in her usual sexy, husky voice, "why hey there gorgeous," she made a point of repeating how she greeted will. "how can i help you?" she winked at him quickly, her tongue running over her perfect teeth like before. though she couldn't help but cast a glance in will's direction, her hazel eyes sad as she looked at him, then quickly regained her composure and stared back at the man she was now serving. he'd asked for a vodka and coke, so she turned swiftly and sorted it out for him. holding on tightly to the glass she placed it before him and grinned, "enjoy sweetie." she lent back away from him with a sigh and stared at the dance floor, still avoiding will.
WILL YOU T O U C H HER RIGHT BACK?
