Parking her truck Buffy got out of it. She was wearing white riding pants, black riding boots, a blue t-shirt and she had her hair tied back. She went to her trailer. Lowering the ramp she unloaded her black Quarter HorseXArabian. The black horse looked around. Buffy tied him to the trailer. Rubbing his shoulder she removed the blanket. She put it in the bed of her truck. She sat her english saddle and saddle blanket on his back. Doing up the grith tight enough. Removing his halter she put the matching bridle onto him. She finished tacking up.
Placing her black felt helmet onto her head she stood next to Salome. Moving her now gloved hand down his neck. She relaxed and laughed softly. The black horse snorted and nudged her. She untied him from the trailer and started to slowly lead him to the ring. Salome started prancing slightly while walking next to her. Buffy looked at the jumps that were in the ring. She rubbed Salome's forehead and hoped that he could make it over the jumps.

The red-haired woman walked slowly into the expo center, a bit unsure what she was doing there. She didn't have her own horse to ride, and she knew she'd end up a bit jealous of anyone riding in there. She really did need to get around to buying one, but she just hadn't found anything that clicked yet. She shrugged, going up into the stands. Shaylyn was wearing a cute, bright - ok, neon - pink checkered t-shirt, and some jeans, along with her boots which she nearly always wore. She loved the things, as old as they were. She noticed a petite blonde girl riding around, ready to jump, and felt a shiver run up her spine. Shay didn't like jumping very well - she had tried once, and nearly broken her leg. Needless to say, she wasn't very fond of english riding at all, and only rode western.
She sat down, though, to watch. Shaylyn enjoyed watching others ride, and she liked the way this horse looked. He was a pretty big guy, she noticed, black and with a fairly large head. It was a pretty big contrast from the lady riding him. Shay thought she vaguely recognized her; Buffy. They had met before, and Shaylyn figured they could end up being pretty good friends. She waited until Buffy and her horse turned and were facing her, before giving a small wave. [/blockquote]

Buffy smiled and rode Salome over to the fence. Hello she said. Salome snorted and pulled on the reins. He was wanting to jump. But, knew that Buffy had to try and make friends. He stood quietly underneath her for now. He'd wait for a command to get going again.
Buffy looked down at her black horse and patted his neck nicely. Relax, Salome. You'll get your chance to go over the jumps so don't worry she said softly to him. Salome relaxed fully feeling her hand on his neck.

Shaylyn leaned her arms on the rail, and smiled at Buffy. It was a bit of an odd conversation, due to where they were standing, but it felt natural enough. Shay was glad to be attempting to make friends; sometimes she wasn't so good at that. "Hey. Buffy, right? Shaylyn."
She picked up on the horse's name, Salome. Cool name. He was a pretty boy, too, even if he wasn't exactly showy. Shay watched as he quieted once more, and shook her head slightly. She wished she had a horse to ride again. With a soft sigh, she turned her attention back to Buffy.
"Nice horse. He looks really strong." She admired his strong legs and muscles. Of course, he would have to have strong legs, if he was a jumper. He obviously was, the way he was straining to go over them. "I still need to find myself a good horse to buy, but of course that's easier said than done." [/blockquote]

Buffy smiled slightly. Yeah I'm Buffy. It's nice to see you again Shaylyn she said. Salome snorted and pawed the ground for a second. But, settled right back down. Buffy glanced to the stirrups and noticed that they weren't high enough. She quickly hoped off. She moved them up two holes in the straps and got back on. Salome lowered his head and rested his back right leg.

((*cough* Sorry for the wait. I was at my dad's.)) Shaylyn nodded at the other woman, and mumbled a reply back. There wasn't much to say, and Shay wasn't a whizz at conversation at any rate. She shrugged slightly to herself, before deciding to ask something.
"Do you know any good horses for sale? I usually see dogs and cats, and some farm animals, but I'm not really into the loop on horses." She licked her slightly chapped lips, and waited for a response. It was a good thing everyone around liked animals; it made it easy enough to start conversation.

Thinking for a minute. I heard that there was a few horses for sale at the auction place but that is all I really know said Buffy. She gave in to Salome and nudged him. The black horse snorted and got into a canter. Buffy turned him toward the jumps and hoped he wouldn't refuse any of them today.
((it's alright. but i'm out of muse))
