Well I only came into this bar to hear a sad song, but i'll probably be here all night long the way i'm feelin' now.
I couldn't get you on the phone, so, i let it ring.. on and on.... in a lonesome serenade.
Oooh, what am i gonna do about my problems now? maybe i should i try to find a way to kinda, sorta, maybe work it out on my owwwn..
With some solitary thinkin' and looonesome drinkin'. oh, it sure does make a body feel at home. a double barrel whisky and, oooh, baby tell me do you miss me? solitary thinkin' and looonesome drinkin' for me tonight.
There's two thing that'll kill a girl, they'll strike her down right where she stands. one is his voice, and one is the rock glass sittin' in my hand. Oooh, lights are gettin' dimmer now, that means they're gonna shut me down. And its just liiike crystal, it ain't always really clear.
Tell me baby, now, how am i gonna get myself to sleep now that you're gone? Maybe i should try to find a way to think about carryin' on, on my ownnnnn.
With solitary thinkin' and lonesome drinkin' oh it sure does make a body feel at home... and a double baaaaarrel of whisky, and, ooh, baby tell me do you miss me? Some solitary thinkin'.. and lonesome drinkin' for me tonight...
Oooh, ooh. Solitary thinkin'...
She finished and put the microphone back on the stand and cleared her throat with a soft smile as the typical crowd clapped as they usually did when somebody better than the monotone creep sang. She looked at the DJ and smiled a 'thank you' and made her way back to the bar to watch others sing. She wondered if Rhyder would make it in tonight, she was actually doing good for once.

Rhyder walked into the bar during the last few seconds of Rylie's song. He felt bad that he had missed it but he knew she would always be singing. He leaned against the back wall as she finished and smiled as she finished. As she walked off the stage, Rhyder walked towards the bar, knowing that was probably where she was going. He finally reached her and placed a gentle hand on her back. "Hey you. It sounded great, at least the last part," he told her.

She felt a hand on her back and, normally, it would have startled her. But with such a social scene, she figured it was just somebody saying good job or anything, really. Then, Rhyder's voice and all in these few seconds, she turned around with a sheer smile as he spoke to her.
Thanks, babe. Glad you could make it.
She was sincere with her words to Rhyder. He just came natural to her, she was pretty much wrapped with him. Whether or not he feel the same way back, she really wasn't concerned about her doubts - they rarely came about.
She turned around in the stool and ordered a drink and turned back to him as she waited for it.

Rhyder smiled. Of course I made it. Couldn't miss spending time with you right? he said to her. He quickly ordered a drink for himself. He sat down next to her and waited for their drinks. Once he got them he gave the guy his money and drank some of it. How long were you here before I arrived? he asked her.

She smiled when he paid - always the gentleman. She took a quick drink before she answered his question.
Oh, just long enough to sign up for a song and sing it...
She reassured him that she hadn't been here long without him. Rarely would she go into a bar without him on her side, it was more of a security blanket if it was anything. She smiled and took another drink and listened to the next contestant that was belting an old Patsy Cline tune.. and she was decent herself.
