See the circus as you've never seen it before.
The lights flit across the floor and onto the audience, creating a scene before them unlike any other they had seen before. A woman walks into the middle of the ring and the a spotlight shines down upon her. She announces the next part of the show, the contortionist. This is the Black Circus in Eden, Kansas, running all year long. It is on one hundred acres of farm land right next to the town where it is permanently situated and has been running for nearly a decade.
It is the worst nightmare for a parent during this era. With all of the strange people, odd acts, and magical mischief going on, it is thought of as the land of hell. But that doesn't stop people from all around the world from visiting. Don't be afraid to visit this freak show, this anomaly of all things out of the ordinary. And the parents are right. Within the confines of the tents, behind the trailers and stands, there is enough scandal going on in one night for the entire town. Cotton candy isn't the only thing you can buy here, drugs are the adult's candy, and there is enough sex to go around.
The lights, the smoke, the acrobats doing tricks never seen before by any human, people who look far more mutilated than possible to stay alive. Everyone here is part of the massive circus show or the crew.
The founder of the circus, Mr. Lee died one year ago and left the circus to his daughter Margot Lee. She has been running it ever since along side Jacob Livingston. The money has been pouring in ever since, but not everyone is happy with her rules. She is strict, clean, and punctual and has little experience running the place. Though, most of them are fond of her kind nature when things are done right.
Recently, things have been going wrong with the rides and the acts. It's as if someone is sabotaging the whole operation. It's been alarming to the ring leader, Miss Lee, but there has yet to be any evidence that any one person is involved. All she knows is that someone doesn't like the circus being around and is doing what they might to get rid of it.
Careful how long you stay though, or you might just never leave...
