Dawn broke free over the horizon. Inbetween the stands where the fans would come and sit the racetrack came into visual for ROSE.She pulled her FORD F-150 into the parking space, no one was here, but thats ok. Rose changed the gear to park and pulled the keys out of the ignition, she smiled amd took one last glance into the rearview mirror at herself and did a touch up on her blonde wavy hair. She sighed and looked out her divers window into who knows what, thinking and remembering her past. She came up to the tracks with her dad when she was younger and loved every minute of it. She would wait by the horses circle before the horses would go out for a race and pretend to bid. She always dreamed having the winning horse and going all the way with him.
Rose's elbow rested on the window part as she came back to the present. The air was cool, enough to wear a navy hooded jacket that said NDSU, north dakota state university, thats the school that rose would have gone to, but she would have rather have came here. maybe one day she would take a chance at college but not today, today was for memories, or just having fun.
The smell of horses blew into Rose's face as she walked to the racetrack. She breathed in all she could, so that if the racetrack WAS closed she would get a good wiff at it before she would have to leave. there was no sign anywhere that caught rose's eye so she walked to the track anyway. Her brown cowgirl boots with each step she took had gotten distier, but she did care she liked them like that, she was an all out cowgirl, my cowgirl, thats what Rose's dad called her. Her jeans even were cowgirl style, skinny jeans, tucked into her cowgirl boots. Rose grabbed onto the railing and held it tight, smiling, she didnt want to leave, she loved it too much.
