squeezing her way through a tight gap in the fence summer grinned at the sight before her. plenty of trails to get lost in. solo needed a long gallop to get rid of all her pent up energy she'd acquired from the eventful journey down to the ranch. her young mare danced on the spot filled with adrenaline, she understood what these narrow paths meant. galloping. the girl reached down to pat her chestnut arabians neck, pulled tight as the mare tensed and un-tensed her muscles. easing the reins back a little her horse relaxed lightly, loosening the muscles in her slender body. scanning the area around her summer smiled once more, the lands really were beautiful around here. a few brightly coloured flowers blossomed here and there, setting patches of musky green alight with vibrant reds and purples and yellows. the tips of the tall trees were a glowing green, the sun slowly washing them to a yellow-brown colour. the rains better come soon. the earth beneath the arabians hooves was slightly moist, the long grass only just starting to whither under the intense rays of sunlight that beamed from the glorious blue skies above. a small babbling stream passed before her, splashing occasionally as if trying to share the cool water with the grass and foliage around it. smiling summer nudged the mare's sides ever so gently, sending her into a forward trot as she splashed carelessly through the stream toward the number of trails. the chestnut planted her hooves lightly on the dusty track, letting the fresh stream water drip slowly onto the earth making the ground a lot darker than the rest of it. there were four trails to choose from, one of them a lot shadier than the other three. summer was in the mood for running, for the sun on her blond hair. but which trail was best for that she wasn't sure. solo tossed her beautiful head impatiently, wanting to get going and gallop till she could burst.

Alex Marshall had borrowed a horse from his cousin Buffy Summers. He sat on the bay gelding. Lenny, Alex's dog barked which spooked the gelding. "Easy Rusty Musty, easy. Buffy told me to work you. So come on relax and let's go" he said. Rusty Musty moved into a nice and easy walk into a trail. Lenny right next to him. Alex patted the gelding's neck and felt power underneath the saddle. He knew for a fact that Buffy wanted to race this gelding. Lenny barked again and moved into a jog. Rusty Musty picked up a fast paced trot. OOC://sorry running a little low on muse today\\

summer still wasn't sure which way to go when solo started to play up. she began to toss her head higher and higher, snorting as she did so. the girl nudged her sides gently to try and stop her from doing it, but the chestnut mare shot forward into a canter. reeling her back around summer let her turn in circles for a few minutes. she didn't want her to be too hyper for when they galloped, 'cause that could've been fatal. clicking her tongue once or twice got the mare to focus on her, but she still carried on turning in circles. rolling her crystal blue eyes summer nudged her once again and this time solo trotted in the opposite direction. after a few sharp tugs on the reins the mare was standing where she had been before, shifting her weight restlessly. summer presumed she'd had enough of waiting to gallop and just wanted to go. but she'd worn her out slightly and she was still sharp and wanting to move. but why she wanted to move was beyond the girl. she clicked solo onward, directing her toward the cool stream so she could take a long drink before they set off. she had decided to go down the last path, the one that ran along the side of a pasture. it looked the flattest and the longest, with a few logs here and there.
after letting the chestnut arabian gulp down huge mouthfuls of the clear water summer nudged her sides once more. climbing out of the stream the mare stopped, her head and tail high and her ears pricked forward - alert. what was out there summer had no idea, but it was obviously something solo was interested in. a few minutes passed and nothing appeared and solo settled a little. waiting a few more minutes summer decided it was now okay to proceed down the trail. she nudged the chestnuts sides gently and she trotted towards the trail. just before they reached the mouth of the dusty dirt track solo let out a high pitch nicker and turned quickly on her hocks. she bolted down another trail, her silky ears pricked forward at the sound of something further down the track. summer adjusted to the change of course quickly and happily fell into sync with her highly strung mare. they galloped at an even pace for a few minutes, before solo began to speed up slightly. not wanting to go too fast summer tried to slow the arabian, but it wasn't working. soon the pair was bolting down the track with just solo in full control. that was when summer saw the other horse. she tried to ease up her mare but solo bolted towards the rider and horse. summer managed to veer passed them quickly, solo crying out and turning back the way they came. she settled with a fast trot as she tried to catch up with the other horse, summer making sure she didn't go into a canter. coming up at the horses side summer bit her lip before she spoke, then quickly rushed out her apology, "i'm so sorry about that, i just couldn't stop her, she's never done this before. are you alright? oh god, i'm so sorry!" summer cringed at how awful she sounded, her throat was dry from the excitement of the galloping. she swallowed and tried a weak smile.

Alex looked to her. He sighed. Lenny went to the other side of Rusty Musty. "It's alright. This guy doesn't spooke easy unless my dog Lenny barks" he said. Rusty Musty snorted and tossed his head. He wanted to run. The gelding is a thoroughbred. it's in his blood to want to run. But, Alex held the gelding at a fast trot. Lenny was keeping up a a jog. Alex felt bad too for being in the way of Rusty Musty's movement all the time. Lenny barked. Rusty Musty snorted and spooked. The gelding moved right into a canter without warning. Alex tried to settle the gelding down. But, Lenny kept barking at a little bird.
