Having left Rylie with Ash at the barn, Domi made a detour at home to drop off Jake. He was less than pleased with the arrangement and having barked his head off from the moment she shut the front door, she made a snap judgment to crate him until she returned. Surprisingly, he was much more content with that and was quiet as she left the house. Satisfied he would behave now, she made the short drive back to town and cruised slowly down the main drag until she found Dixie Cafe.
Parking, she climbed out, rolled up her sleeves and stepped into the restaurant. She took a long look around, finding this to be a much more comfortable environment than the bar she had frequented the day before. Granted, she wasn't in the best of moods then either, which she was sure had something to do with her outlook on the place. She made a mental note to give it a second try. Taking a seat at a booth facing the front door, she kept a keen eye out for Rylie while going over the menu to pass the time. As the waitress approached to take her order, she politely informed her she was waiting for another to her party and ordered herself a sweet tea til then.
