Ian looked back at the girl. Nodding, he waved. "Hi. I don't think I've had the pleasure of meeting you yet," he said. He ran his large fingers through his spiky blonde hair and looked to the bartender. When served his drink, the 20 year old took a small drink and put it back down. Folding his hands neatly in his lap, he smiled at Mirrah.

Elouise smiled warmly at the two."Nice to meet you Chad!" She said happily. Ah, sweet booze, now getting to her head. She laughed as the song came on, swaying in her seat with the beat. As the newcomer came in she looked at him strangly. She nudged Chad and whispered something near his ear."Isn't he a little young to be here?" She hissed, keeping her voice hushed so he wouldn't hear unless he had super-human hearing. "I'm Elouise." She said with a smile, as her way of saying 'hello', just in a more'I don't want to talk to you' voice. The readers perched on his nose more than likely made him seem smarter than he was in reality, but hey, he was kinda cute in her mind.

Ian nodded and pushed away his drink. Suddenly not feeling very well, he got up off his chair. "Um, I think I'm gonna go home." The blonde haired man slowly walked out of the dance hall. It was getting a little bit awkward, and Ian wasn't the most outgoing guy, either.

Chad caught sight of another guy walking in. He didn't pay too much attention though. He took another drink finally realizing how much he'd had. "That's right. Twenty-six." he mumbled to himself and smiled. He listened as Mirrah began to sing with the song. Once she offered to dance, he began to stand up but remembered his ribs. "Yeah I'll have to pass on that." He then felt the nudge that accidently hit him in his side. He let out a quick groan before turning to Elouise with a sweet smile. He tried to act like nothing happened.

"Aww! Sorry darlin'." She yelped, patting Chad's shoulder gently in reparation for nudging his injury. Leaping off her barstool to leave Elouise and Chad alone - did she sense a bond forming? She wasn't man-hunting tonight anyhow - she waltzed down the bar dance floor, spinning with flourish as the record changed to a upbeat two-step.
Staring down at Ian as he stood to leave; a raucous laugh cut over the music as she watched obviously shy man turn tail; shrugging her shoulders for dramatic effect. "C'mon Ian, come dance with me, puppy!" She held an arm out. Sadly, this wasn't the alcohol talking. No, this was Mirrah. She was ever cheerful, ever upbeat, and pretty much always tried to bring life to every establishment she entered. Sashaying into a hippy two-step, she spun on the leather soles of her dusty paddock boots. "Oh the grass needs mowin', and we both places we gotta be goin.. but tonight it's just you and me rockin' steady.. cause they're playin' our song on the radio, better get ready. Dance with me darlin', they're playin' our song.." She sung out, grabbing Ian's hand as she passed him to spin him around and out onto the dance floor.

Elouise looked at Chad awkardly."The age limit's twenty-six here?" Uh-oh, she had thought it was twenty-one, and she was just nearing twenty-two. The bar tender hadn't said anything, so hopefully everything was o.k. with that. The girl just got a little tipsy when drinking, even though a sure lightweight, she could drink half a (small) bottle of whiskey and not feel anything. Running her hand through her curled hair, she laughed at herself. She should really get home, she had a long day ahead of her, trying to find a job."Alrighty guys -and girls- sorry to leave ya', but I've got a long day ahead of me. I'm having a party this Saturday at my place, the big gray colonial, you can't miss it." With that, she grabbed all her cards and her clutch and walked out the door with a wide grin on her face, swaying a bit as she walked. It wasn't the booze, it was just her natural way of walking. Her dress caught a light breeze and blew against her knees, a cold chill coming over her shoulders, though it felt good after being in that stuffy dance hall. Taking off her shoes to walk barefoot along the sidewalk, she held both of them in her right hand, along with her clutch, her left hanging by her side, newly manicured nails almost glowing.

"It's okay." he replied with a grin. He watched as Mirrah danced off to dance floor. He looked over to Elouise, "Twenty-six? Oh no! Sorry I was talking about how many shots I've had." he chuckled and rubbed the back of his head nervously, "Sorry about that." he repeated. He would take another shot before he heard Elouise again. "Huh?!" he stood up quickly almost forgetting his ribs. He grabbed his side once it got to his head it was hurting once it relaxed he turned back his attention to her, "Wait-" he stopped seeing she had already stepped out the door. He had no idea what caused him to react like that. Maybe he felt guilty for some reason. He didn't know. "Eh... Never mind..." he sat back down slowly. He took another drink and sat there quietly. He was lost in his thoughts again. 'Well maybe I can see her at that party,' he thought to himself. He thought about it a little more, "Maybe I shouldn't..." he whispered to himself. He'd then turn around and watch Mirrah dance. Anything to get that off his mind...

Looking back to Mirrah, he smiled but put his hand out. He wasn't really a dancer, and he wasn't good at it either. "Thanks, but no thanks..." Ian murmered. Slowly, he walked out of the dance hall and sat down on a nearby bench. Some fresh air would do him good, right? The blonde-haired man, after a while on the bench, looked back at the people in the dance hall and them flicked his head towards his house. He just wasn't in the mood for something like this tonight, but maybe he would come back tomorrow. Waving to inside of the door, he headed in the direction of his lovely, cozy home.

Mirrah stuck her tongue between her teeth and blew a raspberry, sulkily sweeping back toward the bar to pop back up on her previous bar stool. Propping her head on her palm, she glanced at Chad with another classic Mirrah grin. "Looks like everybody's taking off. You next?" She raised both eyebrows, stretching with a cat-like curve of her spine and rubbing her forehead gently.
It had been a long day - and she probably had a long night ahead of her also; though she didn't quite want to go home just yet. Far too much energy in one little body. Waving her hand for another drink, she settled her tab and downed the last glass of scotch. "Given the current nature of the place, I doubt I'll get a dance partner any time soon.. so I'm probably taking off, myself." Standing, she held a hand out to Chad, palm out in invitation to shake his hand. "It was good talking to you, though, hope to see you again sometime. Did you need any help home? I know busted ribs can be a pain and a half to navigate by yourself." She shrugged, offer on the table. No flirting, no coy little goofiness -- just a genuine offer to help.

He chuckled when the girl stuck her tongue out. He then released a sigh and took one last shot for the night. "There I'm even. Thirty shots..." He kind of thought of how the trip home would be. He could tell he was a little drunk now and he might not want to get in trouble with the law. "Eh? Oh I don't know... Probably... Sorry about that. If I weren't injured I'd join you out there." he replied with a grin. He shook her hand and smiled. "It was nice talking to you too." he paused to think about her offer. "I don't want to trouble you. I'll probably just stick around here for a while anyway." Of course he wouldn't stay any longer, but he didn't want her to worry. He'd wait till she left and probably walk home. Driving didn't seem very safe tonight.

A quick grin and she patted him gently on the back - avoiding any further injury to his already sore body - and nodded. "Well, if you need me, just give me a holler." Waving a hand to the bartender, she cheered a goodnight, snapping her hat back on her head and checking her pockets for her necessary valuables. Skipping across the dance floor, she pirouetted one more time before reaching the door, swinging it open and popping back inside to fork matching "rock on" fists and cry "THANK YOU! GOODNIGHT!" to the bartender's ensuing laughter, flitting out the door to disappear into the night.

"Alright. See ya around Mirrah." He placed some money on the counter and pushed it torwards the bartender. He grabbed his Id and other belongings and walked out the bar. Not as enthusiastic as Mirrah but just gave a simple wave. He wasn't that drunk. Once he got out he threw some stuff in the truck and locked the doors. He then walked away from the bar and headed home. ((Closed))
