Beaches Of Cheyenne is what people have called her in the past or just cheyenne. She has been trained in cow work and well would make anyone a great barrel racer or calf roper if they really want to comepte.
She stood in the stall and was getting pretty board. Her coat was a buckskin paint and was pretty shinney. Her owners made sure that she looked her best to look good for the people. She tossed her head up toward the ceiling and walked around to her hay in her stall to chew on it for awhile. She watched as people walked by her and didn't even blink an eye at her and just walked.

Colt was roaming the rows of stalls where there had been horses forsale that hadnt been run through shoots for the lazy buyers. He gazed in and out of numerous stalls, reading numerous information sheets about horses and turned down numerous offers.
He came to a stall with a flashy little buckskin paint. He turned on his heel instantly and found himself gazing at her papers, reading about her. Cheyenne.. Roper.. Mare.. He nodded, liking what he read. Not a big fan of mares, but if she knew her stuff - that'd be good enough for him. He spotted the owners and waved, trying to get their attention.

A couple of men came over to Cheyenne's stall and they looked at the man." Yes Sir, May we help you?" They where the sons of the guy who owned the mare. They had to bring her to the auction block to get sold since their father couldn't for his health wise." This mare is a registures APHA, She is 3yrs old and has alot done with her. She is a really smart mare and will watch a cow for miles. If your looking for something to get you back in gear she will do it. She might be little, but she has a strong heart. She can cut a cow pretty good aswell, but needs some work on it." Said one of the sons. He was the one the actual trained her.
Beaches Of Cheyenne saw a man walked toward her. She quit eatting her hay and moved toward the open top of her stall door and reached out with her nose. She snorted into the man's hand and then pricked her ears up when she saw her owner's sons come up to talk to this man. She whinnied a little and stomped her hoof. She was ready to get out of this stall. It was took much to stand here all day and eat. She pricked her head up and watched as horses and cattle where being moved to different places. The sound of all this was to overwelming for her.

Colt gazed at the little mare as the guy spoke to him, listening and watching all in one. He turned when he finished up and nodded,
Thats a good horse if she's broke like you claim. How much for 'er?
He questioned and stuck his hand to her muzzle and she snorted, he smiled and wiped his hand on his cinch jeans to remove whatever had just been blown all over him.

The man looked at him." Sir, if you don't belive I'll get on her and I'll show you what she got. I'll also kick a cow out." He didn't want to be made fun of because of how his horse was trained. This mare was trained very well and well he wasn't scared about showing this guy what she got." We will take $2,00 for her. I will tell you she does need a little bit more work on in the roping box. She gets a little hyper, but really it all comes natural to her."
Cheyenne watched colt wipe his hands on his jeans. She tossed her head up and then backed up and walked to the corner of the stall to take a long drink of water that hung in a bucket. She took a drink and then started to play in the water and splashing her chest and neck. She was having lots of fun and didn't care what people said about her. She snorted and went back to the open door and watched the two men talk.

He put his hands up,
Hey man, I believe your word. No worries..
He listened as the guy called out the price to him and he nodded, Does she team rope? He watched as the filly played in her bucket and then returned to her spot with her head dangling out of her gap. He rubbed his hand on the side of her face, and waited for an answer.

He looked toward him and then looked at him." I bet she could do some team roping if you worked with her. She is a fast learner and will get it down in a couple of days." He smiled at Cheyenne and rubbed the mare's forehead.
Cheyenne closed her eyes when Colt started to rub the side of her face. This had a nice feeling to him and was a very soft with his hands. She was pretty much asleep standing there waiting to see what happens next.

Colt pondered on the thought. He wasn't sure if he had much time to teach a horse new tricks. He rubbed the side of her head while he thought - it was all a debate in his mind.
Well, I'm just not much of a calf roper.. But your offer is good.
He looked back at the painted mare as she dozed off right before his very eyes. She was so calm to such a new person.
I'll be damned, I guess I'll take her.
He laughed a little. And released his soft grip and pulled out his wallet that had a few checks in it. He wrote down $2000 and didnt sign it to anybody, then scribbled his signature, then handed it to the guy that had been doing all the talking.

The man smiled, he knew that Colt would take his offer. She was a good mare and she was so calm about everything and never really spooked." Thank you sir. She will make one hell of a good horse. You got my word on that." He took the check and stuck it in his back pocket before he grabed for the lead and snapped it to the mare's halter. He opened the stall door and walked her out and gave the lead to Colt before walking away.
Cheyenne watched as the two men quit looking at her to do some busniess with each other. She didn't know what was really going on, so when the stall door open and her owner put the lead on her, she just followed him out of the stall and know the other man named "Colt" could get a better look at her. She only stand about 15.3hhs and had great long legs that could travel far and fast. She had a really good short neck that flowed into her chest. Pretty much she had a great confermation and had some great breeding to her aswell. Cheyenne looked toward colt and reached up to the hand that was holding her lead and nuzzled it a little bit and then looked around. She was listening to every sound, but she never spooked when the gavel smacked down on the wooden plate. She brought her attention back to Colt and stood there waiting for him to see what happen's next.

Colt took the lead rope with a soft smile, he rubbed his calissed (sp?) hand against the side of her face after she nuzzled him. He turned away like the other, but leading the mare to his trailer instead of going empty-handed like he figured he would like he did most days.
When they reached the Sundowner, he swung the door open and he hung the rope around her neck loosely and tied it so she wouldn't step on it or hurt herself and allowed her to jump in by herself. He figured she was that intelligent, after all.

Beaches Of Cheyenne snorted and followed colt toward the trailer. She wasn't stupid like any other horses that where here. She was too smart for her on good really. Cheyenne keeped her head beside Colt's shoulder not to high nor to low. It was just right between both of it.
When they reached the trailer cheyenne stopped when colt told her too and watched as he opened the trailer door. She snorted and pawed at the ground a little and looked at it for abit. She wasn't scared of the trailer, she just wanted to make sure nothing was going to jump out at her. She study it for a bit and then when colt walked her toward it she jumped in the trailer and stood there waiting for colt to close the door. She looked around the trailer and was ready to go to her next home.

Colt tied the mare to the hook inside the slant and then closed the slant door behind her. He walked out of the trailer and locked the big door. He hopped in his truck and drove to Crooked Path.
